A dark time for YouTube TV subscribers is coming to an end sooner than anticipated. Following the junking of Disney- possessed channels from the service last week, YouTube TV has participated news that the channels would be returning by the end of the day on Sunday. Last week, YouTube TV participated that it would remove Disney- possessed channels like ESPN, Disney Channel, and ABC from its programming companion.
The news came as a result of the two companies’ failures to meet a new agreement to keep the channels on the service without raising the price of the subscription. Following the junking, YouTube TV participated that it would offer a$ 15 reduction to all subscribers while Disney content was unapproachable on the service.
“ We ’re happy to partake that we ’ve reached an agreement with Disney to return their content to YouTube TV while conserving a$64.99/mo. price for our members,” the YouTube Team wrote in an update over the weekend. “ We’ve formerly started to restore access to Disney networks like ESPN and FX, including their live and on- demand content, as well as any recordings that were preliminarily in your Library. We’ll also be turning on the original ABC stations over the course of the day.”
With the return of Disney- possessed channels to the service, that means YouTube TV’s pledge to lower the cost of the subscription will return. Still, YouTube has participated that it’ll still recognize the pledge with a one- time$ 15 reduction.
“ As we promised a$ 15 reduction while the Disney content remained off platform, we will still recognize a one- time credit for all impacted members,” the advertisement reads.
According to YouTube TV, any active members who have yet to admit the reduction should see it on their coming bill. YouTube also says that it’ll allow members who have started the cancellation process to return the base plan to their class. And, if you do so before your access to the service is cut off, you’ll also admit the one- time$ 15 credit. Members who presently have their subscription broke will also admit the$ 15 credit one month after their service charges begin again.
